Dear Client, In our former releases, we announced that we will start using the “Estimate Price Range” (“EPR”) system in our auctions starting in the second half of 2009. We are happy to inform you that we use estimate prices in our 10. Beyaz Auction which will take place on November 7th at Sofa Hotel in Istanbul. EPR auctioning system which is used by leading auction houses like Sotheby’s and Christie’s will be used for the first time in Turkey by Beyaz Müzayede. When you glance at our upcoming auction catalogue, please do not get the impression that the prices have increased; the prices in our 10. Beyaz Auction catalogue indicate estimate price range rather than starting auction price (as in our previous catalogues). In other words, artworks could be sold below (as well as above) the estimate price range. As the number of our international clients increase, we felt the necessity of the internationally more widely used EPR auctioning system. Another first in Turkey by Beyaz Müzayede; 5 different covers… Since there are many masterpiece quality artworks in our upcoming auction and our clients would like to keep our catalogues in their library as a collector’s item as well as a Turkish Contemporary Art reference, we decided to publish the catalogue of 10. Beyaz Auction with 5 different covers. Besides the catalogue with Selim Turan’s masterpiece on the cover, there are 4 limited edition catalogue covers with Fahrelnisa Zeid’s, Ömer Uluç’s, Ferruh Başağa’s and Neşet Günal’s masterpieces on cover. Please consult our colleagues to obtain any of the limited edition catalogues.
